Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide leadership and management for the programs, services and activities provided to WITCC students in the areas of Opportunity and Engagement and Student Support in accordance with established internal, state and federal rules and regulations. Serves as a member of the Executive Council.
- Lead and manage the direction of Opportunity and Engagement, TRIO, Student Leadership, Academic Center for Excellence, KWIT-KOJI, and Inclusive Excellence.
- Lead and manage the direction of Student Support including admissions, registration, advising, records management, enrollment, career planning, and placement,
- Recommend and lead the development of policies and procedures that pertain to processes and maintenance of Opportunity and Engagement, and Student Support records.
- Prepare reports to the administration and the Board of Directors regarding Opportunity and Engagement, Student Support and other related matters.
- Direct recruitment, selection, orientation, professional development and evaluation of departmental staff.
- Serve as an advocate for student needs.
- Develop department budget; allocates budget resources; monitors expenditures and income.
- Represent the College at political and social events in the absence of or in conjunction with the WITCC President.
- Create a team atmosphere and provide leadership in developing systems to improve communication and promote College-wide cooperative working relationships.
- Use database and software applications to create and manage files and communicate requested information, maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist customers in person, by mail, email, and over the telephone.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
This is a full-time, grade 17, administrative position with a starting annual wage of $131,665. Benefits include health, dental, long-term disability and life insurance; vacation, sick leave, holidays, tuition waiver and retirement.

Light physical effort required for office work may include movement of job-related objects and materials. Ability to operate motor vehicle, office machines and other equipment in the performance of duties. Some tasks require visual perception and discrimination.
