What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructor of Management and Marketing position at Western Kentucky University?
The Marketing and Management Departments in the Gordon Ford College of Business are seeking applications for a shared, nine-month, temporary, full-time position commencing in Fall 2025 for an Instructor of Management and Marketing. The position will be for a one-year term and is renewable based upon satisfactory performance, sufficient enrollment, programmatic need, and available resources. The anticipated start date for this position would be August 15, 2025.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Teach twelve hours (4 courses) each semester during the regular academic year, split between the Management and Marketing Departments. Courses the successful candidate may include: business-to-business marketing, marketing management, strategy and policy, and management and organization. A typical semester would likely include a combination of any of these courses in either face-to-face, online and/or hybrid modalities.
- Help create and execute programming hosted by the Departments on campus and in the community.
- Participate in outreach opportunities within the community.
- Other service activities may include service to the department, college, university, industry and professional groups, and/or outreach to the surrounding community.
Job Requirements:
- MBA or master's degree in a related discipline.
- Substantive business experience related to strategy development and execution.
- Experience at the managerial level in the areas of strategic planning, target marketing, marketing research and business-to-business marketing.
