As a Heel Craftsman, you will ensure precise attachment of heels to boots by verifying heel sizes, applying glue, and securely pressing and sanding each heel. This role requires attention to detail and adherence to quality standards to maintain consistency and achieve a polished finish.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify Heel Size: Check work orders to confirm the correct heel size for each boot.
- Apply Glue: Cover the entire surface of each heel with glue according to order specifications.
- Attach Heel: Position and press the glued heel onto the boot, ensuring proper alignment.
- Sand Heel: Smooth and even out the heel using sanding tools to ensure a refined finish.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Consistently follow procedures to meet production and quality goals.
Required Skills and qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail with excellent close-range vision.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Steady hand control and arm coordination for precise movements.
- Dexterity in finger movements for handling and assembling small parts.
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Availability to work assigned shifts, including required overtime.
- Consistent in meeting productivity and quality standards.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
