As a Lasting Operator, you will be responsible for preparing boots by soaking them to soften the leather, stretching and nailing the leather around the toe and corners, gluing the leather to the insole, and ensuring a proper fit by matching the last and boot sizes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare Leather: Soak boots to soften leather for stretching.
• Stretch and Nail: Stretch and nail leather at the toe and corners for an even mold.
• Attach to Insole: Glue leather to the insole for a secure fit.
• Fit Last: Confirm size match and place the last inside each boot.
• Finish Stretching: Nail loose areas, especially at the vamp and counter.
• Quality Control: Check boots to ensure even stretching and secure molding.

Required Skills and qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail with excellent close-range vision.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Steady hand control and arm coordination for precise movements.
• Dexterity in finger movements for handling and assembling small parts.
• Reliable, responsible, and committed to fulfilling job responsibilities.
• Availability to work assigned shifts, including required overtime.
• Consistent in meeting productivity and quality standards.
