What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Quality Auditor position at WESTERN LEATHER GOODS INC?
Job Summary:
A Western Leather Goods quality auditor will be engaged in inspecting, auditing, recording and overseeing repair of boots, boot components and or related shipping processes. Process will typically take place inside of an enclosed structure on the Mercedes campus though some tasks may require intermittent periods of work outside. Positions will utilize electronic methods of entering audit data for review and processing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Part of multi-person team with set areas of responsibility
- Rotate once a month to ensure strong focus and consistent auditing
- Inspect 100% of boots moving through the assigned checkpoint
- Taking damaged boots, once found, to the cause of quality damage
- Working with production supervisor to address employees who are creating damage
- Propose different solutions to fix issues
- Working with production team to ensure boots are top quality
- Ensure timely Prodsmart updates on all inspected boots
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Available to work Monday – Friday 6 am to 3 pm, occasionally Saturday
- Must have thorough attention to detail
- Ability to communicate verbally and written
- Ability to perform extensive periods of sitting, standing and bending down during shift
- Ability to address situations in respectful manner
- Ability to analysis and track data using electronic methods
- Ability to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and write in English
Experience and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of experience preferred,
Physical Requirements:
- Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for periods of five hours or more, moving and examining objects at high and low reach, and reading for periods of three hours or more.

6:00am-3:00pm
