POSITION TITLE Foreman - Hardscape / Landscape / Snow
WORK WEEK SCHEDULE Monday - Friday; weekends as needed
WORK HOURS 45 ; additional hours as needed
NUMBER OF MONTHS PER YEAR 12
The landscape hardscape foreman is responsible for overseeing and managing a crew of workers on residential and commercial hardscape construction projects, including the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hard landscaping features, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to a high quality standard, while adhering to safety protocols and communicating effectively with clients and other team members; requiring in-depth knowledge of hardscape construction techniques, ability to read plans, operate specialized equipment, and supervise a crew effectively.

Ability to effectively lead and motivate a crew to achieve project goals.
Ability to read plans and effectively communicate with the designers and crew.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials, working in outdoor conditions, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of landscape / hardscape plans and construction details.
Ability to effectively and efficiently use specialized equipment, including but not limited to skid loader, laser levels, concrete saws, chain saws, hand tools, excavators, etc.
Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications, perennials, shrubs, trees.
Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and backgrounds.
Punctual, dependable, self-driven, detail orientated, good time management and professional appearance.
Ability to communicate instructions and delegate to staff.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Several years of hands-on experience in hardscape construction, including proficiency in various installation methods Snow plowing experience.
Comprehensive understanding of hardscape design principles, materials, and construction techniques.
CDL - A with a reputable driving record and proficient heavy equipment operating skills.
Capability to read and interpret landscape design plans and blueprints accurately.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
At least 2 years' experience as a Foreman.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hardscape / Landscape :
Lead and supervise a crew of hardscape installers on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring tasks are completed according to project timelines and specifications.
Accurately interpret landscape design plans and blueprints to layout hardscape features on the job site using surveying tools and laser levels.
Oversee the installation of various hardscape elements like pavers, retaining walls, walkways, steps, and edging, ensuring proper grading, base preparation, and material placement.
Safely operate and maintain specialized hardscape construction equipment including excavators, skid steers, concrete saws, power tools, and hand tools.
Inspect all work performed by the crew to ensure adherence to quality standards, identify and address any issues promptly.
Manage inventory of materials, including pavers, concrete, gravel, and other hardscape supplies, ensuring efficient use and timely ordering.
Regularly communicate with clients to address concerns, provide updates on project progress, and ensure client satisfaction.
Enforce all safety protocols on the job site, including proper personal protective equipment usage and hazard identification.
Train and mentor crew members on proper hardscape installation techniques, safety procedures, and best practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Snow :
Attracting talent, setting training standards and assisting in hiring procedures.
Analyze and improve organizational processes, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Install Satellite Salt Bins.
Ensure Equipment expansion is done and complete for season.
Ensure all properties are marked prior to the first storm of the season.
Ensure all equipment is serviced and in the proper location for storm operations.
Ensure all employees are briefed and ready for a storm.
Work with Ownership to establish Storm Plan.
Preform snow and ice removal and management services to territory assigned.
Ensure other territory managers are performing proper services to ensure quality is high and efficient.
Communicate with Ownership, General Manager and Subcontractors.
Ensure proper account cleanup is scheduled and performed.
Ensure trucks and equipment are properly cleaned and serviced and ready for the next storm.
Work with mechanics to ensure proper maintenance of machines and trucks is done.
Ensure spot salting schedule is established and executed.
Ensure all snowplow damage is corrected at the end of the season.
Ensure all plow markers are cleaned up and returned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
