Marine Construction Project Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and driven individual to join our team as a Marine Construction Project Manager. This challenging yet rewarding role will provide you with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from concept through completion.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing contracts, negotiating revisions, and leading the planning and implementation of marine and heavy civil construction projects. They will also prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports, while ensuring that project deliverables are met on time, within budget, and at the required level of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements
- Lead the planning and implementation of marine and heavy civil construction projects
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables
- Develop full-scale project plans
- Manage project budget
- Plan and schedule project timelines
- Track project deliverables using appropriate tools
- Provide direction and support to project team members
- Ensure jobsite safety and compliance
- Monitor and report on project progress to relevant parties
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions
- Perform project evaluations and assessments
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience working as a Project Manager
- Experience overseeing diverse projects
- Thorough knowledge of construction materials and practices
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA construction regulations
- 2 years of experience in remote construction and rural logistics
- Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, or other federal contracting is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering or related field is preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to maneuver around various construction sites
- May require long periods of sitting, standing, and/or working on computer
- May require some travel- both by flying or driving
- Must be able to visually inspect work projects at project sites and compare to specifications
- Must be able to work onsite
- May require working in extreme weather conditions
