School Linked Behavioral Health/Family Practitioner

Are you ready to join a team that provides compassionate care and support to clients? Western Mental Health Center is seeking Mental Health Practitioner to provide services in area schools.
SUMMARY OF POSITION: Provide social skills training and support, assist in developing independent living skills, and/or provide counseling for emotionally and/or seriously emotionally disturbed children.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Provides services to clients and their families in developing and/or improving social, independent living, behavioral, and leisure skills. (within limits of experience and educational background)
· Assists community providers with service delivery, and serves as an advocate for the client.
· Provides individual, group, family and/or other psychotherapy, (within limits of experience and educational background), including emergency services as necessary to meet the needs of clients. (within limits of experience and educational background)
· Presents educational material (within limits of experience and educational background) in a variety of public settings to promote community understanding and response to mental health, chemical dependency and/or behavioral problems as assigned.
Ability to travel, as position requires.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Behavior Sciences field from an accredited university/college.
Must have excellent verbal, written, organization and interpersonal skills.
