REQUIREMENTS: One year minimum of verifiable general office experience. Must have excellent computer skills and knowledge including navigating the internet and looking for information.
Must have excellent communication skills.

JOB DUTIES (Following training, the collector will):
- Be responsible for contacting consumers to negotiate payment arrangements and performing skip tracing techniques to locate consumers to collect on the debt.
- Utilize various telephone and internet skip-tracing techniques to locate right parties to negotiate payment and process payments.
- Negotiate payment terms and methods when the right party is reached.
- The negotiation process often requires advance reviewing of the account information in the database, and/or asking questions of the consumer to better understand potential objections to payment.
- Update the account records with new information, record the call result or disposition, as well as any relevant notes about the call via the collection system.
- Manage several different queues of accounts at various points in the collection process to ensure complete work.
- Have an understanding of, and comply with, all Federal/State/Internal laws, regulations, and policies.
- Employees work in an office environment, sitting at a desk during regularly scheduled work hours; answer and make telephone calls; type on a standard keyboard; read and comprehend information from a computer terminal and/or written resources.
HOURS: 40 hours per week, full time, Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
PAY: $18.30 per hour, raise at end of probation.
Eligible for health insurance (medical, Rx, vision, optional dental) after 90 days.
