General Summary
- Assists the director in developing and implementing educational and cultural programs for targeted populations in order to assist participants’ preparedness for college, success in college, and graduation from college.
Major Duties
- Collaborates with the program director in coordinating and implementing program operations, including college visits, field trips, summer programs, career workshops, and family events.
- Maintains records and databases of student and family engagement and participation. Monitors and maintains data collection for required program reports.
- Maintains relationships with target schools and provides services to participants on college access processes.
- Collaborates with campus departments and community organizations to provide educational curriculum for program participants.
- Develops retention strategies, evaluates programming, and researches best practices for program improvement.
- Ensures compliance with department, University, and state and federal policies and procedures.
- May maintain materials for testing, evaluation, and grading of students participating in programs. May counsel and instruct students on planning, organization, and other executive function skills.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
- Two years’ relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Physical requirements and working conditions
- Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
- Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
