We are seeking a full-time Financial Counselor for medical billing to join our Central Billing Office team.
Wage Range DOE
In this position you will:
- Review accounts and determine if payers have made appropriate payments
- Identify delinquent self-pay accounts, perform various collection actions including contacting patients by phone and follow company collection policies
- Evaluate patient financial status and establish budget payment plans when appropriate
- Answer inquiries and correspondence from patients and insurance companies
- Identifies and resolves patient billing complaints through review of account, researching credit balances, etc.
- Must have understanding of insurance contracts.
- Comply with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Regulations.

Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous medical insurance billing experience in a healthcare organization preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education in a medical insurance billing program.
