988 Crisis Call Specialists provide emotional support, resources, and intervention for people seeking help from the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Call Specialists offer unconditional emotional support, complete risk assessments by using a person-centered approach, gather information while maintaining rapport, and collaborate to create a safety plan or provide resources.
Full-time 988 Crisis Call Specialists are eligible to participate in a comprehensive employee benefits program that includes paid time off, health insurance, life and long-term disability insurance, health and dependent care reimbursement accounts, a 403 (b) retirement account with a company match, and other voluntary coverage options.
Qualifications
988 Crisis Call specialists have excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills and remain calm in crises.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Minimum of one year (1) related experience
- Ability to pass a background check upon offer of employment
