The ideal candidate will have a strong legal background in insurance law, business acumen, and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes while supporting our business objectives.What are the responsibilities and opportunities of this role?Advises and supports the company on a wide range of compliance and regulatory matters, including insurance regulations, data privacy, consumer protection laws, and corporate governance.Ensures company activities align with federal, state, and local regulations.Collaborates with internal teams to identify legal and regulatory risks, offering proactive solutions.Assists with corporate filings and reports.Serves as a trusted legal advisor, balancing risk management with business growth.Provides actionable legal insights that align with company goals.Educates internal teams on compliance, legal processes, and risk management strategies.Makes complex and impactful legal decisions guided by company policies and objectives.Uses expertise to develop creative legal solutions and effectively communicates them.Upholds high customer service standards, ensuring responsiveness, professionalism, and accountability in all interactions.Requirements What are the must-have qualifications for a candidate?Bar Admission : Must be licensed to practice law in Alaska, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, or Washington.Experience : 3 - 5 years as a practicing attorney with significant exposure to property-and-casualty insurance governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.Expertise : Strong knowledge of property-and-casualty insurance law, regulatory frameworks, and compliance best practices.Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for nonlegal stakeholders.Problem-Solving : Strong critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.Independence : Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work.Proficiency with legal research tools and office software.Compensation overviewThe full hiring range for this role is $140,000 - $165,000, annually. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, credentials, and experience of each candidate as well as other factors such as the scope and location of the role.
