Teaching Performance
- Plans, organizes, and employs instruction in ways that maximizes student learning and engagement including but not limited to strategies that communicate subject matter to students
- Modifies, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse students’ needs
- Employs available instructional technology, i.e. the Internet, interactive technology, when appropriate
- Encourages the development of communication skills and higher order critical thinking skills through appropriate assignments
- Aligns activities with program and general education goals, course objectives, and student learning outcomes
- Provides feedback regarding grades/progress to students in a timely fashion
- Assigns reasonable course activities in terms of time required for student completion

Evaluation of Student Learning
- Publishes student learning outcomes and course objectives as outlined in the master syllabi
- Establishes and explains methods that measure student progress toward learning objectives
- Provides students with clear information on how they will be assessed and graded
- Evaluates student performance consistently in accordance with the evaluation section in the course syllabus
- Maintains accurate, updated records of student progress in the institution’s learning management system
- Conducts course, program, and general education assessments

Support of College Policies and Procedures
- Prepares, distributes, and submits syllabi and approved course outlines for all assigned sections in accordance with program and divisional practices to the appropriate Division Chair and Educational Services
- Maintains confidentiality of student information using FERPA guidelines
- Exercises stewardship of college facilities and materials
- Demonstrates sensitivity to student needs and circumstances and complies with requested/suggested accommodations
- Uses the required WNCC learning management system
- Reports attendance, mid-term, and final grade rosters to financial aid and the registrar each term according to established deadlines
- Complies with the philosophy, policies, regulations, procedures, and announcements of the College as set forth in the Board Policy Manual, College Catalog, Student Handbook, Employee Handbook, and Adjunct Instructor Handbook
- Submits institutional reports on students or directly addresses students who are academically at risk and/or who exhibit behavioral difficulties

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Instructor must have a master’s degree in Human Services or a closely related field and licensure as a drug and alcohol counselor. Official transcripts will be required upon hire. Online teaching experience preferred.
Salary : $975
