My client is a medium-sized division of a larger parent company, and a renown design & manufacturer of custom infrared optical assemblies spanning IR spectrum, UV and visible spectra, many of which are first-of-their kind creations.
We have recently expanded our state-of-the-art production facility
Optical Design Engineer
Duties :
- Design & develop complex precision optical systems / components to customer specs .
- Evaluate & analyze optical design for performance & manufacturability
- Lens design, tolerance analysis & system performance modeling
- Support program deliverables - from prototype hardware to first article production units.
- Help develop test methods and procedures to characterize optical system performance.
Develop governmental and commercial products.
