- The Associate Editor is responsible for assisting the Editor in managing the editorial process of a publication by reviewing, editing, and refining content submitted by writers, ensuring it meets the publication's standards for accuracy, style, and clarity. Collaborate closely with the editor and publisher to plan and execute content strategies and meet publishing deadlines; often involving tasks like assigning articles, fact-checking information, editing submitted articles for AP style facts and accuracy according to company guidelines. Content will include town government, politics, schools, housing, economic development, environment and health, sports, arts and entertainment, local institutions, everyday local businesses, people, and places.
