Fast-paced physician office looking for medical receptionist Monday-Friday. Interested parties should have a pleasant personality, strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and be able to work well with fellow employees in a small office setting. Must be able to handle self appropriately under high pressure. Full time position, competitive salary, paid holiday and vacation days available after 1 year of service. No experience necessary.

Schedule:

  • Monday 8am-5pm
  • Tuesday 8am-5pm
  • Wednesday 8am-6pm
  • Thursday 8am-12pm
  • Friday 8am-3pm

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
  • Schedule appointments for patients and ensure that they are aware of their appointment times and what they need to bring to appointments
  • Maintain patient records and update charts with current insurance cards and patient demographic information
  • Collect payments from patients and process payments in a timely manner.
  • Sort, distribute and scan appropriate paperwork into EMR.
  • Balance cash drawer and prepare bank deposit
  • Perform all duties respectful of confidentiality and safety of all patients, employees and Providers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Previous front office experience or background in general office work preferred but not required.

· Must be able to maintain confidentiality/discretion.

· Must be patient, courteous, and tactful.

· Ability to communicate and relate well with multiple physicians, office staff and the public.

· Ability to follow direction, accept orders and perform repetitive tasks.

· Computer literate in use of word processing, email and data entry.

Summary

As a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk, you will be essential in providing administrative support and ensuring a welcoming environment for patients. Your core skills in medical office experience and patient service will enable you to manage front desk operations effectively. While no prior experience is required, strong organizational and communication skills, along with computer literacy, are essential. Your role will involve handling medical records, managing multi-line phone systems, and assisting with patient inquiries, all while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
