Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Regional Sales Representative for Storage and Material Handling Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales and promoting our range of material handling products and solutions within a designated region. The position involves regular travel to meet with clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions to optimize their material handling processes and provides ongoing support to product distribution channel.
Responsibilities:
Sales Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned region, including prospecting, lead generation, and converting leads into sales. Achieve or exceed sales targets and objectives.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Act as the primary point of contact and provide ongoing support to clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring their needs are met.
Solution Selling: Understand clients' material handling challenges, requirements, and goals. Present and demonstrate appropriate solutions from our product lines to address their needs effectively. Provide consultative sales support, offering expertise and insights to help clients optimize their material handling processes and improve efficiency.
Technical Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and competitors' offerings. Effectively communicate the technical aspects of our products, their benefits, and their value to clients. Assists resellers with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained. Become actively involved in training dealers about our product line and new offerings.
Travel and Territory Management: Travel regularly within the assigned region to meet with clients, attend industry trade shows, and participate in conferences. Effectively manage your territory by planning and scheduling client visits, prioritizing opportunities, and optimizing travel logistics.
Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities. Regularly analyze and report sales by products line, and market.
Qualifications:
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in the material handling industry or a related field. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Product Knowledge: Strong technical understanding of material handling equipment and solutions, including shelving systems, platforms, mezzanines, robotics, warehouse management systems, and related technologies. Ability to articulate the benefits and applications of these solutions to clients.
Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability in consultative selling, relationship building, and negotiation. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to establish rapport with clients, understand their needs, and provide effective solutions.
Territory Management: Experience managing a designated sales territory and planning travel logistics. Strong organizational and time management skills to maximize efficiency and productivity.
Self-Motivation: Highly self-driven and results-oriented. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Travel Availability: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region (estimated 50% travel). Must hold a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle and have the ability to travel by air or other modes of transportation as required.
Education: A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience and proven sales success will also be considered.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods of sitting in a vehicle or traveling and working on a computer.
· The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, with variable hours based on customer availability, travel times, and other considerations.
