  • Enhance employer branding to position the company as an employer of choice in the industry.

HR Function Development & PEO Transition:

  • Take an active role in building out the HR function from the ground up, ensuring it is scalable and adaptable to the company’s growth trajectory.
  • Assist in transitioning from a PEO environment to an internal HR structure, ensuring smooth integration and operational effectiveness.
  • Partner with leadership to define HR strategies that foster growth, culture, and employee satisfaction.

Compliance:

  • Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations, including DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and best practices in the trucking, warehousing, and transportation industries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including I-9 documentation.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage performance management systems, ensuring timely feedback, goal setting, and employee development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with managers to implement employee recognition programs and strategies to enhance morale and retention.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Oversee the administration of competitive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring market alignment and internal equity.
  • Work with leadership to design incentive programs for key roles, such as drivers, warehouse leads, and logistics coordinators.

  • Promote career development opportunities, emphasizing internal mobility and retention within the organization.
  • Coordinate ongoing education related to compliance, industry certifications, and professional development.

HR Metrics & Reporting:

  • Maintain and analyze HR data related to turnover, absenteeism, performance, and other key metrics.
