What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marching Band Front Ensemble Instructional Assistant- Lincoln High School position at Western Placer Unified School District?
Under direction of Site Administration and in consultation with the Band Director, support the day to day activities and overall success of the Front Ensemble element of the Marching Band. The Western Placer Unified School District and its 13 schools and an independent study program are located in the communities of Lincoln and Sheridan, California. These communities rest at the base of the Sierra Foothills in picturesque Placer County. Lincoln is approximately 30 miles northeast of Sacramento, our state's capital. High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience working with children or youth groups. Experience and training in marching band, especially in playing percussion instruments (including mallet percussion instruments). College experience is preferred. Knowledge of reading music, especially for percussion instruments and for large ensembles. Ability to transcribe music.
