What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift) position at Western Power Sports (WPS)?
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overall output, condition, quality and capability of their area of expertise. This position plans, organizes and monitors the receiving, storage and distribution of all items received. This position also assures that processes procedures, equipment, documentation, and personnel are in place to meet the business objectives of their department and the company.
Duties:
- Plans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors and evaluates performance of warehouse associates.
- Ensures the associates ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage configurations.
- Develops Lead Warehouse Associates to effectively oversee the daily routines of their employees.
- Maintains personnel structure and staffing levels to accomplish departmental objectives in an effective, efficient manner.
- Communicates organizational metrics and goals to employees and monitors their productivity.
- Conducts daily meetings to convey daily tasks to employees.
- Arranges maintenance and repair of departmental equipment.
- Work with leads, employees, and management on departmental areas that require improvement.
- Responsible for ensuring necessary supplies are on hand to operate the department efficiently.
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring potential employees.
- Evaluates performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
- Assists with the termination process for Warehouse related positions.
- Implements and enforces safety standards to promote a culture of working safely.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- RF Handheld experience required.
- 1 years of supervisory experience preferred.
- 3 years of warehouse operations experience preferred.
- Certified to operate forklifts, cherry pickers and swing reach trucks preferred.
