What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist, Part Time/24 Hours, Pelvic Floor (Benefit Eligible) position at Western Reserve?
This is a Pelvic Floor physical therapy position.
Evaluates and treats patients with injury or illness through established physical therapy interventions and treatment procedures. Supervision of physical therapist assistants, students and others as deemed appropriate.
We are looking for PT to join our growing pelvic floor program treating men and women who suffer from bladder, bowel, and PFM dysfunctions as well as pregnancy, post-partum and abdominal/pelvic post-surgical issues. An entry level course in Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions, that includes internal assessment, is required for this position.
Education and Training
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy; New Grads are required to have a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current license issued by the Occupational Therapy/Physical Therapy/Athletic Trainer Board to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Ohio.
- BLS required.
- An entry level course in Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions, that includes internal assessment, is required for this position.
Experience
- One (1) year of experience working as a Physical Therapist preferred.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Successful verbal and written communication skills required for customer relations.
- Must be able to lift and transport patients and equipment.
- Must be willing to work with individuals with disabilities
