Crusher Operator & Laborer Position

About This Position

We're seeking a skilled crusher plant team member who knows their way around crushing equipment and conveyor systems. This position focuses on helping run our crushing operations while operating support equipment when needed – ideal for someone who understands rock crushing and wants to grow in the aggregate industry.

What You'll Do Day-to-Day

Equipment Operation

Operate various mining equipment with skill and care, including:

• Dozers
• High wall excavators
• Skid steers
• Front end loaders
• Haul trucks

Crushing Operations

Support the head crusher operator by:

• Monitoring rock flow through the crusher
• Adjusting crusher settings as needed
• Keeping feed hoppers properly loaded
• Managing material stockpiles
• Watching conveyor systems for proper operation

Maintenance Duties

Handle essential crusher maintenance:

• Perform daily equipment inspections
• Grease crusher and bearings
• Clean around crushing equipment
• Change crusher liners when needed
• Keep belts properly tensioned

Safety Priorities

Make safety a top priority by:

• Following all safety rules
• Speaking up about unsafe conditions
• Looking out for your teammates
• Using protective equipment properly

What You Need

• Good understanding of crusher operations and settings
• Knowledge of conveyor systems and material flow
• Basic mechanical skills for maintenance tasks
• Ability to spot potential equipment issues early
• Safety-focused mindset

Helpful Skills to Have

• Experience with crusher adjustment and optimization
• Mechanical troubleshooting abilities
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Knowledge of different rock types and crushing requirements

• Laurelwood Quarry: 14375 NE Cunnigham Ln., Gaston, OR
• Stephens Quarry: 18250 SE Walnut Hill Rd., Amity, OR
• Goble Rock: Nicolai Rd., Ranier, OR
