SPECIAL EDUCATION Instructional Assistant
Qualifications:
A high school diploma is required. It is preferred that candidates have knowledge of or experience working with individuals, including students and adults, who have special needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support students by collaborating in a team-oriented manner to enhance their academic skills, daily living abilities, work readiness, and social interactions, while working under the guidance of the special education teacher. Facilitate small group learning, uphold classroom routines, and ensure the implementation of IEP accommodations. Assist students in recognizing and achieving their potential through engaging, practical experiences.
Pay Scale:
Based on the salary framework of the Western School Corporation.
