What are the responsibilities and job description for the WIS Art Teacher position at Western School Corporation?
QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential Functions include the following: Other duties as assigned.
- Meets professional responsibilities of a certified elementary art teacher
- Plans and organizes instruction to achieve general and course proficiencies.
- Provides effective instruction using a variety of strategies, which bring about desired student proficiencies.
- Assesses student progress and maintains records and communicates ongoing student progress in art education..
- Organizes and manages the classroom environment to maximize learning.
- Demonstrates effective communication skills with students, parents, and the community.
- Demonstrates effective people skills.
- Participates in PLC
- Utilizes data to plan and drive instruction.
- Strong communication, teaching, and time management skills
- Interest/experience in visual art education
REQUIREMENT:
Current Indiana Teacher’s License
Degree in Visual Arts preferred
SALARY/BENEFITS: According to the salary schedule and benefit package per agreement of Western School Corporation and Western Education Association.
STARTING DATE/LENGTH OF CONTRACT: As soon as possible through May 25, 2025
