What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Practice or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position at Western Sierra Medical Clinic Inc?
WSMC is seeking a Family Practice or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide medical services to our youngest patients. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in pediatric primary health care, including well childcare and prevention and management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. This care is provided to support optimal health of children within the context of their family, community, and environmental setting.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- rendering services that reflect current standards of medical care appropriate to the local medical community.
- coordination of care as appropriate and,
- documentation as appropriate for continuity of care and risk management.
S/he serves as a member of the health care team whose goals are described in the WSMC mission statement, and assumes responsibility as assigned for quality assurance/quality improvement efforts.
The salary range for this position is $130,000-160,000 annually.
- Valid California license to practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Current DEA.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with an electronic practice management (EMR) system.
- Bilingual (preferably Spanish) preferred.
