What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position at Western Sierra Medical Clinic Inc?
Western Sierra Medical Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physicians Assistant for our Downieville location. The NP/PA will provide general and preventative care, conduct check-ups, treat illnesses, order lab tests, and prescribe medication for children and adults. The successful candidate will identify the needs of the patient or their family through thorough evaluation and exceptional communication. They will work with the patient and their family to determine appropriate treatment plans and will refer to other health professionals and community agencies. The NP/PA will provide patient and family education on a variety of health topics.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Valid California license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant.
- Current provider card in Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS provider card as required by CMO
- Computer literate (i.e. logging on to computer, usage of keyboard and mouse, familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel).
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm
