. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of production operations, maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards, and providing leadership to a team in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Functions:
· Supervise and direct production team members in the raw processing area to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
· Conduct routine inspections of machines, equipment, and production areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and USDA regulations.
· Verify that all packaging specifications are correct and meet customer standards, ensuring product integrity and accuracy.
· Monitor and adjust machine settings to meet customer specifications, based on basic technical knowledge of equipment.
· Ensure that Julian Code Dates on packaging are accurate and align with production timelines.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all areas are free from foreign materials and potential contaminants.
· Accurately document production data and provide necessary paperwork for record-keeping and reporting.
· Report food safety concerns, equipment malfunctions, and any other issues to the Superintendent in a timely manner.
· Assume full responsibility for meeting RAW job requirements as necessary.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively lead and interact with team members.
· Basic proficiency in mathematics and strong attention to detail.
· General proficiency with computer systems, especially Microsoft Office 365, and experience with record-keeping.
· Ability to lift objects over 50 pounds on a regular basis.
· Previous supervisory experience is required.
· Completion of a 90-day probationary period.
· Knowledge and experience of machinery, including the ability to train employees in Standard Work procedures.
· A strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to implement and enforce safety measures within the team.
