Western Spirits is seeking a Logistics Manager for our bottling facility in Bowling Green, KY.
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the shipping and transportation of beverage alcohol products to multiple locations across all 50 states. In addition to handling outbound shipments, this role will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of all inbound production-related supplies necessary for manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics and supply chain management and a solid understanding of shipping regulations related to the beverage alcohol industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Outbound Shipping: Coordinate the distribution of beverage alcohol products to locations across the U.S., ensuring timely and compliant deliveries.
- Inbound Logistics: Manage logistics for incoming production-related supplies, ensuring the availability of materials needed for manufacturing processes.
- Carrier Management: Work with carriers and shipping companies to negotiate contracts, manage shipping rates, and ensure the best possible service.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all shipments comply with state and federal regulations, including proper labeling, documentation, and permits for beverage alcohol products.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with the procurement and production teams to align shipping schedules with production needs and warehouse capacities.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management: Oversee inventory levels and warehouse operations to ensure efficient use of space and resources.
- Data & Reporting: Track shipments and inventory through ERP systems, preparing reports on shipping performance, costs, and efficiency improvements.
- Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other key partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve any shipment-related issues, delays, or regulatory compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations for shipping alcohol products (TTB, state liquor control boards, etc.).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in the beverage or alcohol industry.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and related regulations.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
