Western Spirits, a leading national beverage alcohol company, is seeking an experienced Merchandise Manager and Assistant Merchandise Manager to lead and support our merchandising operations. The ideal candidates will oversee the company store, manage
Value-Added Packaging (VAPs), and support some B2B retail partnerships. This role also includes collaborating on product development and assisting in strategic domestic parcel delivery initiatives. Experience with importing is preferred.
We are looking for candidates with strong interpersonal skills who can manage daily operations, develop merchandising strategies, and contribute to the overall success of our company's retail and distribution efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandising Operations: Oversee daily operations for the company store, ensuring efficient inventory management, product placement, and customer satisfaction.
- VAPs and B2B Retail: Manage Value-Added Packaging (VAP) initiatives, asnd assist with merchandising for business-to-business (B2B) retail operations.
- Product Development: Collaborate with product development teams to enhance product offerings and merchandising strategies.
- Importing and Logistics: Importing experience is preferred. You will assist in strategic planning and execution for domestic parcel delivery operations.
- Sales Strategy: Work closely with internal teams to develop and implement sales and merchandising strategies that align with company goals and market trends.
- Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with B2B partners, ensuring that they receive excellent service and that their product needs are consistently met.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring team performance meets company standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience in e-commerce and retail merchandising, with a focus on the beverage, spirits, or consumer goods industries.
- Knowledge of B2B retail operations and Value-Added Packaging (VAPs) is preferred.
- Experience in product development or working closely with product development teams.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with importing is a plus
- Degree not required, but proven experience in merchandising is essential.
- Exposure to the beverage alcohol industry and the appreciation of the outdoors is a plus.
