The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible to assist and support staff with retail real estate and non-real estate, and business and Ag loan quality standards. They are also responsible for assisting with regulatory review including HMDA, CRA and flood. The ideal candidate is an exceptionally organized, methodical professional with the experience necessary to take our loans to the next level with respect to accuracy. The candidate will be charged with assisting to provide additional support in evolving the QA program, reviewing variances to policies, processes or procedures, ensuring accuracy of documentation and prompt reporting of findings, as well as fostering a “quality culture”.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Development and execution QA assessments that are designed to test regulatory requirements as well as policy requirements to ensure processes are functioning as designed and operating effectively to mitigate associated risks
- Perform quality control review for retail real estate and non-real estate, and business and agriculture loan documentation and system upload.
- Track and report exceptions, preparing QA reports detailing findings, and advising on improvements to internal control routines.
- Provide recommendations for implementing changes in policies, procedures, and processes to improve work quality in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements, while limiting impact to productivity.
Minimum of three years’ experience in loan underwriting/processing required. Preferred experience working in a QA function and/or building out the QA function as related to loan processing.
