Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Transportation Operator I who will be responsible for the delivery of laundry, food and supplies to multiple facilities, provide transportation; services for patients as needed; removing soiled linens from units and take to the laundry for processing; removing trash from the units and take to the dumpster for disposal; picking up patient property from the units and Admissions Office and take to Patient Property for storage; and delivery drug boxes and lab boxes throughout Western State Hospital and the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA).
This position will also be responsible for transporting patients and staff to medical appointments; assisting with transportation of discharged patients; and assisting with emergency transportation efforts utilizing a heavy capacity vehicle; and assisting with snow and ice removal.
