Western States Reclamation is a premier restoration contractor in the Western United States with over 200 team members. WSR has covered every corner of the industry including wildfire rehabilitation, oil and gas pipelines, wind and solar farms, highways and railroads, river restoration, building parks and public open spaces. WRS is currently hiring a mechanic who can repair and maintain small engine landscape equipment, landscape construction equipment and non CDL commercial trucks to maximize crew productivity and safety while minimizing equipment do
Essential Functions:
- Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment
- Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on driver/operator vehicle inspection reports
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment
- Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns

Education and Experience:
- 3 years Diesel Technician/Mechanic work experience
- English and Spanish fluency a plus
License/Certification:

Work Environment:
- Sit, stand, and walk frequently
- Use office equipment such as computer, mouse, keyboard, printer
- Outside field work in a variety of climates, including heat, rain, snow, and wind
- Ability lift or move up to 50 pounds
Benefits:
- 6 paid holidays per calendar year (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas) after 30 days of employment.
- 10 paid days off (PTO) per year. PTO will begin to accrue at a rate of one day per month after 60 days of employment.
- Up to 48 hours of paid sick time per year.
- 401K plan eligibility after 60 days of employment, with company matching up to 4%.
- Health insurance eligibility on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment. Currently, the company pays approximately 100% of the employee’s insurance under the standard plan. You may enroll in a PPO plan and add family member coverage for an additional charge.
