Purpose
This role will support the Executive Leadership Team's strategy by providing timely and accurate financial reporting, assisting with special projects, and overseeing the Project Accountant and Accounts Payable team members. This role reports to the Director of Organizational Development & the Executive Leadership Team.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain budgets and prepare periodic reports comparing budgeted and actual costs for project analysis, company overhead, and other projects as assigned by Executive Leadership.
- Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to GAAP Percentage Complete reporting and procedural standards.
- Review accounts for discrepancies and reconcile differences daily, for linked transaction accounts, and as part of a regular monthly close process.
- Process the monthly close for the company and associated entities, prepare appropriate adjusting journal entries, audit employee expense reports, and file monthly sales-tax reporting & payments.
- Maintain and revise as needed tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
- Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, using current systems or recommending additional systems or processes where appropriate.
- Advise management about issues such as resource utilization and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
- Point of contact liaison with third-party tax service, relaying tax strategy and implications and escalating questions to internal leadership staff, as needed.
- Maintain the records of applicable government agencies related to sales tax filing compliance in all states where the company operates or sells.
- Maintain registrations and file for new state integrations as the company's reach expands.
- Oversee and run twice-monthly Accounts Payable processing, monthly progress payment request cycles with Project Accountants, and twice-monthly payroll processing with once-monthly bonus/commission processing associated with the end-of-month pay cycle.
- Coordinate with and prepare financial reporting for use by our 3rd party tax firm, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements.
- Prepare forms, manuals, SOPs, and other training materials for accounting and bookkeeping personnel as assigned and oversee the work of staff that reports to this role.
Technology & Other Requirements
- Accounting software knowledge: NetSuite, QuickBooks Enterprise/Contractor/Online, Sage, or similar
- Industry Accounting software integrations: ProCore, GC Pay, Textura, etc.
- CRM & ERP software; Quickbase, Zoho, or similar
- Compliance software: Harbor Touch, Levelset, Utah SCR, Lienguard, etc.
- Microsoft Office Suite of products; with exceptional spreadsheet background in Excel
- Google Business Suite of products: Gmail, Google Calendar, etc.
- A minimum of a 4-year accounting degree is required; CPA licensure is preferred.
- Possible occasional travel may be required.
- Background and credit checks must fall within required company policy standards.
Compensation, Location, & Hours
The Salary Range is $95,000 to $125,000, and pay is commensurate with experience. Candidates with CPA licensure will be considered for additional compensation.
This is an in-office role at our Park City, Utah, corporate office until April 1, 2025. Starting in April, our new corporate office will be in Sugar House in the Salt Lake Valley. The daily schedule is anticipated to be between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
