What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager position at Western Supply Company, Inc.?
We are looking for a responsible, sales motivated individual to fill the Branch Manager position in our Dodge City location. This Dodge City branch covers local sales as well as Southwest Kansas territory that is serviced by our weekly truck routes out of our Hutchinson distribution center.
In this position you will have face to face counter sales and phone sales with existing contractor customers both locally and the surrounding territory. This person should also be comfortable reaching out to new contractor/industrial type customers to expand our sales reach in the Southwest Kansas territory. The branch manager role includes managing other sales staff, maintaining good inventory management within in your warehouse, and oversee general building maintenance.
Experience and knowledge of the plumbing, heating, air conditioning, or sprinkling industry is desired. In addition to selling standard stocked industry products, this position will require periodic research and quotes using supplier websites for special order customer requests.
SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Personable, customer focused personality.
2. Ability to manage and lead others.
3. Comfortable using computers. Capable of computer order entry, emails, etc.
4. Possess excellent attention to details, be well organized, understand basic math skills
5. Be able to learn & operate forklifts safely.
6. Capable of lifting 50lbs or more. Capable of standing, stooping, pulling & pushing
7. Must be able to read, speak, and communicate in English
8. Must be 18 years old or older
9. Good Driving Record required for local deliveries. Pass pre-employment drug screen & background check.
Hours: Full Time Hours M-F; 7:30-5:00 pm
