Western Technologies Inc. a consulting firm with 65 years of experience offering professional services in the western United States in the fields of geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, construction materials testing, nondestructive testing, and welding inspection.
We have an immediate full-time opportunity in our Flagstaff office for a Construction Materials Testing Laboratory Technician.
Job Duties :
Test construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphaltic concrete for quality control and assurance in the laboratory.
Other responsibilities will include assisting with maintaining our various accreditations, preparing laboratory reports, documenting test results, data entry, and assisting project managers and engineers with assignments.
Job Requirements :
Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment with an expectation of exceptional sample turnaround time.
Organizational skills, computer skills, good math skills, the ability to multitask, and a clean driving record.
The ideal candidate would have experience in sampling and testing of construction materials and with the construction industry as a whole, in addition to the following.
Certifications preferred, but not required in :
ATTI Soils and Aggregate Testing Technician
ATTI Asphalt Testing Technician
ACI Aggregate Testing Technician 1 & 2
ACI Strength Testing Technician
NAQTC, NICET Level III and / or ICC certifications preferred, but not required in :
Field
Soils / Aggregate
Asphalt
We will train the right candidate how to perform laboratory testing of construction materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and ADOT procedures.
