We are seeking a Licensed EMDR Trained Clinician for various programs in our agency!
Responsibilities & Duties for (Licensed EMDR Trained Clinician):
- Client Assessment and Intake: Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients’ mental health histories and treatment goals, utilizing standardized tools to evaluate trauma symptoms.
- EMDR Therapy Implementation: Facilitate EMDR sessions according to best practices, guiding clients through all therapy phases while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Ongoing Evaluation and Adjustment: Regularly monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and document advancements in electronic health records.
- Psychoeducation and Support: Educate clients and families about trauma and EMDR, provide coping strategies, and encourage open expression of feelings in a supportive environment.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care, participate in meetings, and maintain communication with all parties involved in client care.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on EMDR and trauma treatment research, engage in supervision and training, and contribute to the development of less experienced therapists.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current state licensure (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT) and adherence to state regulations regarding clinical practice.
- Certification: EMDRIA-approved training or certification in EMDR therapy or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 of clinical experience working with trauma survivors. Experience in a variety of therapeutic settings is a plus.
