What You Will Do:

• Determine vehicle conditions by conducting Preventative Maintenance Inspections, Oil Changes, Chassis Lubrication, and identifying worn and damaged parts.
• Perform/assist in the repair, diagnosis, and removal/replacement of major components including, but not limited to, the ability to diagnose and repair the following with minimal or no supervision: Clutches, Electric Systems, Hydraulic/Air Brake Systems, Heating/Air Conditioning Systems, Instruments and Gauges, and Preventative Maintenance Service.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of major components such as Engines (gasoline and diesel), Power Train (including, but not limited to, differentials, transmissions, drive shafts, PTO's and wheel ends), Engine Bolt-On Items (such as turbochargers, fan clutches, injectors, fuel system components), and Electronics (such as ECM, ECU, Sensors, etc.)
• Road test vehicles as necessary to diagnose malfunctions and to ensure proper working order.
• The candidate will not be limited to the above tasks and additional tasks may be assigned by his/her supervisor.

What We Are Looking For:

• 5 years practical experience in mechanical inspections and repairs
• High school diploma or its equivalent ( required );
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools and hand tools ( required );
• Must have a basic set of hand tools up to 3/4" and 1/2" drive pneumatics ( required );
• Experience with diagnostic tools is highly desired;
• A valid driver's license ( required ), and must either possess, or have the ability to obtain, a C.D.L.;
• International, Cummins, and Mitsubishi FUSO engine experience preferred;
• Vocational/Technical certifications strongly preferred;
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required;
• Punctuality and attendance is a must (Note: Position days are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm);
• Basic computer skills necessary for data entry into manufacturer's maintenance systems;
• Willingness to travel as necessary (e.g. to customer's yards and training sites)
