This role has responsibility for assisting the Senior Manager with overseeing Global Sourcing and Procurements policies and procedures. In this role you will work closely with team members and business units to enable and enhance Western Unions vendor management tool and internal Western Union processes and procedures. This position has responsibility for maintaining governance oversight by developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and processes for Global Sourcing and Procurement. This position is also responsible for supporting Western Union and its contractor management pool by ensuring compliance with access rights, and financial reviews while reducing risk. This role is expected to develop and maintain auditing tools and reviews to enhance compliance and generate efficiencies. This position will not only have responsibility for Global Sourcing and Procurement, but also such responsibilities may be expanded to other compliance areas or functional programs.

Role Responsibilities

Specifically, this position has the responsibility for ensuring compliance and generating efficiencies for Global Sourcing and Procurement which may include:

  • Development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, internal controls, and process improvements for Global Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Serving as liaison between regulators and senior management to communicate compliance concerns, violations, penalties and appropriate resolutions related to Global Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Management of relationships with internal team members and external auditors globally as it relates to governance and compliance matters within Global Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Ensuring uniformity in development, presentation, and understanding of Global Sourcing and Procurement’s policies, procedures and processes globally.
  • Generating and Maintaining Reporting as needed.
  • Developing auditing tools and reviews to enhance compliance and efficiencies with the team.
  • Identifying risks and performing remediation efforts as they pertain to Global Sourcing and Procurement.

Role Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in any of the following areas: global sourcing and procurement, contract or contractor management, governance and compliance and/or audit and risk.
  • Substantive understanding of audit, governance or compliance as it relates to implemented policies, processes and procedures.
  • Substantive understanding of documentation development and standards.
  • Ability to distill and discern important information and determine how it impacts the team and business.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate with internal team members and business stakeholders within a global environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously with little to no oversight, managing priorities while maintain a high level of organization.
  • Must possess strong, decisive, analytical, and action-oriented mindset.
  • An effective communicator (verbal and written) in groups and one-on-one.

Salary

The base salary range is $$95,000 - $125,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates’ qualifications, skills, and competencies.
