Western Vascular Institute is looking for a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our busy Vascular Clinic!
As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Mesa Clinic. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate is someone who can be assertive and confident. You must posses great decision making skills, excellent time management and the ability to effectivity communicate with multiple Physicians and colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Surgical assisting
- Wound care
- Clinic/vitals
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange/schedule outside testing and referrals
- Chart documentation
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Physiological studies
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments - Must be knowledgeable in sterilization procedures and protocols
- Clinical decision making
- Phone triage
Skills
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Centricity, FIVOS(Medstreaming)/EMR knowledge
- Bilingual is a HUGE plus
- Required: 1 year of Back Office Medical Assistant experience; the Company is willing to train on Front Office
- Medical Assistance Certification is preferred but not required upon hire, but is required to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
