What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groomer position at Western Veterinary Partners?
Midway Animal Hospital is looking for a Groomer to join our team! We are a multi-doctor, award-winning, small animal hospital that is well respected in our community and has proudly served Alpharetta for years.
This is a full-time role comprised of a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday schedule.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Groomers are responsible for all grooming services, from start to finish : Bathing, drying, grooming / hair cutting as requested by the client, styling, brush out, flea treatments, clipping / filing nails, gland expression, de-matting, ear hair removal, brushing teeth and cleaning up
- Keeping your area clean throughout the day and at the end of the shift
- Engaging with customers to ensure their requests are understood
- Evaluating the condition of the pet and addressing any styling / grooming concerns
- Must have prior knowledge and comfortability working with all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
- Must have prior knowledge of breed grooming standards
- A certificate in grooming is a plus (a portfolio is required)

Midway Animal Hospital is an AHHA-Accredited and Fear-Free clinic that has been voted best of North Atlanta and Neighborhood Favorite multiple consecutive years in a row! We have 5 veterinarians (most are UGA grads - Go Dawgs!) and a wonderful support team, including 2 RVTs, that works well together and has a family-like bond.
