Compass Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to join our Fear Free practice. This an excellent opportunity for candidates with leadership experience looking to grow their career within a supportive environment!
Our technical team plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and client service. In this role, you will provide leadership to our Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Assistant team alongside general day-to-day technician duties. Leadership responsibilities will focus on delegation of tasks to optimize workflow, ensuring safety and medical standards are being met, and providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the support team. This is an ideal position for those with high emotional intelligence, the ability to cultivate positive culture, and a passion for developing others.
This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule and availability needed Monday - Friday with weekends off!
Full-time benefits and compensation:
- Compensation: $30 - $34/hour, based on experience and skillset
- Bonus package: $2000
- CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter

Required qualifications and skillset:
- Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Oregon
- 5 of veterinary technician experience in a clinical setting
- 1 years of leadership experience
- Experience with developing SOP and training
- Passion for developing others and supporting a team environment
- Previous leadership experience
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Anesthesia induction and monitoring
- Surgical assistance and caseload oversight
- Dental prophy and radiographs
- IVC placement / venipuncture
- Fear Free patient care
