Advanced Practice Clinician (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) – Department of Cardiology

We serve patients and their families in Snohomish, Skagit, Island and Whatcom counties. The Department of Cardiology is staffed by 7 cardiologists in the sub-specialties of general cardiology, heart failure, interventional cardiology, structural cardiology and electrophysiology. We also have the WWMG Cardiac Imaging Center co-located with our primary location in Silver Lake, Everett where treadmill, echo, nuclear and vascular testing are performed.
Our APC team provides both outpatient and hospital-based cardiac care in conjunction with our cardiologists. Outpatient clinic is centered at our Silver Lake office in Everett. Inpatient work is done at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. There is no evening or night call. Weekend responsibilities are shared in a larger group format and are approximately 1 in 6-7.

Summary of essential job functions:
· Position is full-time, defined as 4 days of 10-hour shifts scheduled weekly
· Responsible for independently seeing patients in clinic
· Weekend call is shared amongst the advanced practice clinician team (approx. 1 in 6-7)
· All shifts including weekends end at 5 PM at latest
· Inpatient rounding with attending cardiologist
· Perform stress test on weekend calls

Required qualifications:
· Have a current National Provider Identifier
· Have a current DEA certification
· Current State of Washington License either as Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
· Have a current ACLS certification (we can help in your certification if needed)
Preferred candidates:
· 1 – 2 years of experience as an APC.
· Cardiology experience is preferred but not required.
· Previous RN or other professional experience in cardiology
· Acute Care Management of the cardiac patient
· Prior exposure to outpatient cardiac management
