What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Coordinator position at Western Washington Medical Group?
Reports to: Director of Operations
Date: 2/14/25
Location: Primary Care Services (PCS) dept., Snohomish
Responsibilities:
- Process outbound referrals from primary care to specialists
- Obtain insurance authorizations if needed
- Confirm insurance is accepted
- Process referral to correct location
- Other administrative duties as assigned
The Referral Coordinator will be cross-trained in other areas to help out if needed, such as:
o Processing L&I paperwork
o Medical records requests
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Epic EMR (preferred)
- You must be able to provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States

Schedule: Full time
Salary: $24.00 per hour. Monday – Friday, no evenings or weekends. (Four 10s possible as long as it
includes Fridays).
