What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Information Technology position at Western Wisconsin Health?
- Manage Information Technology staff and day-to-day operations;
- Implements department strategic plan that is consistent with and supports the organization’s strategic plan;
- Administers policies and procedures consistent with the goals and objects of the organization;
- Makes hiring decisions, conducts performance evaluations, and creates and delivers corrective action plans in alignment with the Just Culture model with Human Resources;
- Oversees implementation and ongoing support and maintenance of all computer applications, IT infrastructure, any system that operates over the Local Area Network or Wide Area Network as well as all communication systems;
- Focuses on endpoint hardware support and IT infrastructure;
- Works collaboratively with System Administrator to maintain network following industry best practices for security, back-ups, virus protection, and disaster recovery;
- Ensures that WWH has effective and reliable technological systems that support safe and effective patient care and efficient business operations;
- Manages IT staff, including annual evaluations, skill development, regulatory responsibilities, hiring, separation, discipline, and as directed by the Human Resources department;
- Work collaboratively with their leader to review the technology needs of the organization recommending updates and changes in alignment with department and organization strategic plans;
- Regulates system access; develops and coordinates security plan in conjunction with their leader;
- Managing the Disaster Recovery Plan for all organization Information and Communication Systems to include routine data backup and recovery protocols;
- Security Officer – Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's IT security strategy to safeguard the organization’s digital assets from cyber threats. This includes managing security infrastructure, performing risk assessments, developing security policies, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Oversees procurement and utilization of telecommunication system and communication devices;
- Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and
- Other duties as assigned.
