What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ultrasound Technologist - Casual position at Western Wisconsin Health?
Western Wisconsin Health is looking for a casual Ultrasound Technician that can operate the Ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic imaging studies and performs multiple tasks within the Radiology Department. All of this is done to support the organization’s mission while living our values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs ultrasound procedures including OB/Gyn, abdomen, renal/bladder, carotids, venous doppler, breast, testicular, thyroid, biopsies, drainage procedures, and lower extremity arterial studies;
- Performs patient care by thoroughly evaluating patient status and changes in physical condition
- Transports patients safely and have the physical ability of lifting and repositioning without endangering
- Schedules exams, answers phones, processes film, files and keeps accurate records
- Participates in ultrasound emergency call
- Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups; and
- Other duties as assigned.
