Job Summary:
The CNC Lathe Set Up Operator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multiple machines simultaneously to meet production demands.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Effectively utilize shop packages, including manufacturing orders, bill of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts.
- Ensure that gases and tools used are within calibration dates.
- Set up and operate multiple machines as required by the routing.
- Sort and rework non-conforming parts as necessary.
- Produce products to established quality standards and notify direct supervisors of any non-conforming products found.
- Participate in SQCD Board meetings as scheduled.
- Perform quality checks per WEOP0855 and associated Inspection Record (QF08120).
- Request raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintain accuracy of all inventory procedures.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Able to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Able to do simple math calculations.
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and blueprints.
- Able to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms.
- Able to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gages, and other inspection devices as needed.
- High School Education or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience.
