**Job Summary:**
As a Precision Machining Specialist, you will be responsible for operating multiple spindle lathe type screw machines equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock.
Key responsibilities include:
- Effectively utilizing shop packages, including manufacturing orders, bills of materials, routings, part prints, job layouts, and quality alerts;
- Ensuring that only calibrated gages and tools are used;
- Setting up and operating multiple machines simultaneously as required by the routing;
- Sorting and reworking non-conforming parts as needed;
- Producing product to established quality standards and notifying your direct supervisor if non-conforming product is found;
- Participating in SQCD Board meetings as scheduled;
- Performing quality checks per WEOP0855 and associated Inspection Record (QF08120);
- Requesting raw materials in a timely manner as needed for production and maintaining accuracy of all inventory procedures;
- Performing and documenting preventative maintenance according to released methods 100% of the time;
- Other duties as assigned.
**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- The ability to safely and properly operate and set up various production machines;
- Basic computer knowledge;
- Ability to do simple math calculations;
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and blueprints;
- Ability to write simple correspondence and fill in required quality forms;
- Ability to read and properly use measuring devices, such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gages, and other inspection devices as needed;
- High School Education or equivalent;
- Minimum 2 years' experience.
