POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for performing quality control on new deposit accounts and file maintenance. Provides back office support to both internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Reviews Deposit New Account Report to verify all signature cards have been received.
- Review New Customer Safe Deposit Account Report to verify all contracts and documentation have been received.
- Review File Maintenance for all persons, organizations and deposit accounts.
- Performs signature card and database review for both consumer and business accounts.
- Processes Returned Deposit Items.
- Reviews Large Dollar Notifications and takes appropriate action when necessary.
- Monitors overdrawn accounts by reviewing reports, mailing appropriate letters, charging off accounts and collection reporting.
- Completes monthly Excessive Overdraft Reporting and performs maintenance as requested.
- Completes maintenance for all Deluxe Provent Identity Theft Protection Enrollment Forms.
- Verifies deposit interest rate changes on account level overrides.
- Performs interest calculations and adjustments as necessary.
- Contact for bank employees to report and resolve tMagic processing issues as well as DNA error messages.
- Completes data verification for year-end processing.
- Processes and prints all deposit batch checks.
- Process 1099INT and 1099MISC corrections.
- Processes monthly IOLTA report for Massachusetts and Connecticut.
- Monitors W-8 forms.
- Establishes, maintains, and tracks deposit products in the core system.
- Performs all deposit rate change requests.
- Creates and modifies changes for all Relational Pricing Packages.
- Responsible for the review of required production reports daily.
- Verifies accurate posting of interest for all deposit products by cycle periodically.
- Implements backup withholding directives from the Internal Revenue Service and sends out B-Notices as needed.
- Facilitator for the reporting of dormant and inactive accounts.
- Completes the annual Abandoned Property process.
- Completes account verification requests including Social Security and Medicaid verifications.
- Responsible for refunding service charges for Operations related transactions.
- Performs quality control of the indexed deposit documents in the Document Imaging system (ONBASE).
- Assists in collecting information for audit requests.
- Must complete BSA, AML, and other Regulatory and Continuing Education as assigned.
- Must adhere to all bank and regulatory policies and procedures specific to position.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.
