Role OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Catastrophe Risk Manager to manage all daily aspects of Catastrophe Risk and Exposure Management for E&S Property:
- Oversee, refine, enhance Underwriting processes related to SOV Processing, Cat Pricing
- Provide UW guidance on individual submissions, renewal actions, overall book profile
- Supervise automated processes to compile and report Monthly Rollup modeling
- Actively analyze portfolios, deliver actionable insights based on Optimization and Profitability
- Monitor, analyze, and report on potential and active Cat events
- Support business planning, profit studies, reinsurance purchase, regulatory reporting
- Collaborate across Underwriters, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Risk Management, to ensure alignment

Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of cat modeling experience, ideally AIR/Touchstone; Property Insurance understanding a must
- Talented analyst, critical-thinker, pragmatic problem-solver; effective collaborator, communicator
- Proven ability to effectively analyze, process, visualize, and communicate complex quantitative information in impactful, actionable ways
- Strong SQL knowledge, particularly for mining Cat Modeling data; Skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Exposure Management, Portfolio Optimization tools, such as Analyze Re, a plus
- Working knowledge of Python or R a plus; Working knowledge of QGIS or ARCGIS Software a plus

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $110-125k. The specific salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including the experience of the successful candidate. In addition, all employees are eligible for competitive annual incentive targets, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance.
